I. the passing year did not deserve you [action]

[With a heavy yawn, Mercy stretches her arms, blinking sleepily. It's a shame that her test of the new Hibernation Recovery Formula happened to occur right before getting whisked away to this exciting new land- she's always sorry to miss out on valuable testing time- but it was a really amazing nap, so she can't complain.]

[She blinks a couple times, confused as to why it's still so hard to see, until she realizes there's a piece of paper taped to her face. Apparently, someone helpfully attached the note she'd left for her friends to somewhere clearly visible.]

[Don't worry, this is normal- I was just testing something new! I should be awake again in 3-7 months. I won't need any food or water, just store me somewhere cool and dry. Thanks!]

[Satisfied, she stands up, curiously examining her surroundings. On further examination, the space proves to be some kind of supply closet. She'd somehow managed to cuddle up to a vacuum cleaner in her sleep- it made a surprisingly good pillow.]

[Feeling ready to face the day, whatever day it is by now, she opens the door and sticks her head out.]

Good morning! Is there any breakfast?

[You were probably just minding your own business, weren't you? Whatever that business might be.]

[Too bad that peace is about to be shattered by a tiny blonde girl excitedly shoving a piece of paper in your face.]

Do you want to help me accomplish scientific progress? I just need one little signature and a blood sample.

[The paper reads "Medical Consent Form". She's smiling a little too enthusiastically- and is that a syringe in her other hand?]

[Maybe now would be a good time to start backing away slowly.]
